The Sacred Witness: Ganesha’s Flow of Wisdom
A Journey of Sacred Sound, Storytelling & Mantra
Class Description
Step out of the rush of daily life and into an intentional, deeply nourishing container of sound, story, and stillness. Join Uma and Tifannie of the Sitka and Stillness Collective for an immersive, transformative experience rooted in the heart of Bhakti Yoga and the quiet reverence of the Himalayas. What distinguishes this offering from a traditional sound bath is our commitment to the "Middle Path"—bridging the intellectual understanding of ancient myth with the physiological experience of sacred frequency. We recognize that sound is most potent when the heart has been prepared through Katha (devotional storytelling) and the nervous system has been aligned through conscious presence. This is an active pilgrimage designed to align the nervous system, awaken the heart's resolve, and untie the knots of the mind. What to Expect: Sacred Storytelling & Katha: Uma weaves living transmissions and personal pilgrimage insights from the Himalayas, exploring the fierce protection and remover-of-obstacles grace of Ganesha—whose profound devotion and surrender are embodied in writing the Mahabharata at the dictation of Vyasa. Active Bhakti & Mantra: We transition from active "fire" into united voices—using Sankalpa (intention setting), pranayama, humming, and collective mantra recitation to prepare the vessel of the body. By anchoring the myth first, we ensure we chant from a place of true Bhav (devotion). The Deep Sound Immersion: Rest deeply and digest the sacred into stillness. You will be guided through a rich tapestry of gongs, alchemy bowls, chimes, tongue drum, and voice, training your awareness to rest within pure resonance. Integration & Community: We gently return from the soundscape, anchoring our experience by gathering to share warm herbal tea and prasad—savoring a peaceful space to land, ground, and release any need to rush back into the outside world. This is more than sound relaxation—it is an invitation to transition from hearing to knowing, and to steep in the nectar of the Bhav. Please bring a yoga mat, comfortable clothing to layer, and any extra personal items (such as a blanket, pillow, or journal) to help you create your coziest nest for rest. You may also bring anything else you may need to feel fully comfortable and supported, and an offering for the altar if you wish. In the service of the heart and the sacred ✨🙏
